Help save prostate cancer research, make a difference on the day after Father’s day!

Congress is looking for ways to cut spending and one way they are considering is cutting the Dept. of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program (DoD PCRP).

The DoD PCRP has an incredible track record for funding the best cancer research and has pushed forward research leading to important clinical trials.

Cutting the DoD PCRP is a really dumb idea. It’s one of those rare things in government that is working incredibly well and I give it a 5 star rating.

Prostate Cancer is not some rare condition that Congress has put in its crosshairs, but rather it is very common. Upwards of a quarter of a million men are diagnosed each year and about 34,000 die each year from the disease. Many of us have loved ones, including fathers, who have had prostate cancer. It affects sons, brothers, husbands, cousins, etc. in addition to dads.

As many of you know, in 2009 I myself was diagnosed with the disease.

Please take just one minute and send your U.S. Representative a message right now in support of this vital program and against cuts. The deadline is this Wednesday.

Thanks,

Paul
