Roman Reed Act is funded! A great day for spinal cord injury research!

The California Public Safety Committee today passed AB 190 and in so doing has funded the Roman Reed Spinal Cord Injury Research Act!

Roman Reed Act, Roman Reed
Roman Reed and Paul Knoepfler

The action will provide up to $11 million a year in funding for spinal cord injury research. This is amazing news and is the result of a lot of hard work by many, but especially of course Roman and his dad, Don C. Reed. These guys are real heroes!

I just got a quote from Roman on this exciting news:

AB 190 ensures that we soon will accomplish our paralysis cure and achieve our goal of making sure that no future generations from here on out will suffer from permanent spinal cord injury paralysis. All of us together did this!!

Thanks to the readers of this blog who contacted the key legislators as well.
