We have just about one day left in the preliminary voting for the top 12 finalists in the Stem Cell Person of the Year Award process.
I’m happy to report that we are approaching 4,000 votes total and today at least I see no evidence of cheating on the poll.
What a refreshing change from yesterday, which was a nightmare of cheating by supporters of one candidate. In days before that there were other shenanigans as well by voters of certain candidates.
I’ve upped the security parameters on the poll and it has clearly helped.
Remember that the top 12 candidates advance as finalists.
There is no particular bonus for finishing first, second, third, etc. in this polling or any penalty for finishing 11th or 12th for that matter.
The ultimate winner could be any of the top dozen finalists.
Once this round is complete I will advise as to how things will proceed.
Ultimately, regardless of how we get to the end, I will myself pick the one winner at that point. You all will have picked the finalists.
As was the case last year, I’m sure it’ll be a challenge to pick just one winner this year from the stellar group of finalists.
Thank you for once again holding this event. Stem cells are involved in so many positive things it is imperative that they are highlighted and the public is educated about them. Especially with Stem Cell tourism still growing educating is essential so people have the knowledge to recognize the miraculous science versus the one size fits all therapies by people with unscrupulous motives.
Thanks for all you do you are a true leader and positive ambassador for the stem cell community.
Paul it should be top 5 in the final vote
