Vote on your pick for the top stem cell outside the box thinker and positive impactor in 2016 from the 20 choices below. The top 10 vote getters will be finalists from which I will have the tough task of picking the one winner as Stem Cell Person of the Year along with the $2,000 prize and recognition.
You can vote once per day. The voting closes in 10 days on December 15th at 11:59pm Pacific Time. Read more about the 20 nominees here.
Where is Andrew Xiao for N6mA in ESC?
Why – did you nominate him?
Reminder to voters that you are allowed one vote per day. If you break the rules and use tricks to vote many times per day for one candidate, you may be blocked from voting and all your past votes deleted. I mention this because this has already happened.

What a pity that the Mitalipov spammer(s) is back again – remember how he/she spammed the last poll using Tor servers? Spoils the fun. Why not use an email auto-confirmation bot to stop voters without real addresses from voting?
@Onions,
I’m working on it. Will now require Captcha and remove suspicious votes.
Paul
@Richie,
He wasn’t nominated by anyone.
Why, wasn’t he nominated Paul? Because he’s an actually accomplished scientist and clinician and his work doesn’t fit the snake oil narrative?
@Brian,
Read the first line of this older post announcing the opening of 2016 nominations:
https://www.ipscell.com/2016/09/nominations-open-stem-cell-person-year-2016-award/
Anyone is free to nominate anyone else. For whatever reason this year no one nominated him.
Paul
Next year I will nominate Chris Centeno
I also miss Jeanne Loring
Jeanne won last year!
I thought anyone could win for another time?
I thought Robert Lanza has won already?
So many people these days who write but can’t read…
From Paul’s article https://www.ipscell.com/2016/12/20-nominees-for-stem-cell-person-of-the-year-2016-award/
Past winners of the Stem Cell Person of the Year Award include:
Jeanne Loring in 2015, Masayo Takahashi in 2014, Elena Cattaneo in 2013, Roman Reed in 2012.
Where is Chris Centeno? I miss his name.
