If you read this blog you know that I like stem cell contests and giving out awards.
In the latest contest I am teaming up with ISSCR.
The winner of the contest will receive a free registration to the upcoming ISSCR 2014 Annual Meeting in beautiful Vancouver, B.C.
How do you enter and possibly win?
Simply write an essay, 300 words or less, on the topic:
“Why I want to go to ISSCR 2014”.
Send it to me at knoepfler@ucdavis.edu.
I will pick the winner who will receive a complementary registration to ISSCR 2014.
It’s that simple.
I’ll be looking for clever, creative writing and a compelling reason for wanting to attend this great meeting.
The deadline for entries is Friday May 30th at 11:59PM PDT.
The winner will be publicly announced on Monday June 2nd in a blog post here that includes their essay.
If there’s more than one outstanding entry I may well publish additional ones on the blog.
I hope to see you in Vancouver.
Paul

My reasons to go to the ISSCR? I could say it’s because I’m in
the field of cell therapy, because I want to know how the world is managing with clinical development in this field to compare how advanced or not do we are in our public entity, to catch something useful to implement in my clinical research daily work, to meet the experts and to learn from them, to feel part of the community, to find new job opportunities, to visit a country I never been there before, to improve my English, etc. But comming from Barcelona in Europe, what is even more exiting is to see the clouds from above during the fly, to feel the immensity of our planet, to imagine the pace outside and of course hear the personal histories from my neighbours at the plane!! Reality usually overweight the fiction!!!
As it will be really difficult to win this prize, basically because I’m slighly late, would it be possible to obtain a free sample of the Stem Cells, an insider’s guide, signed by the autor? The perfect consolation prize!
