Several of us here at UC Davis and other Northern California institutions have worked together to organize a unique symposium on CRISPR and genetic modification. You are invited to attend the free meeting, which will take place on May 26th. You can register here.
We will cover CRISPR ethics, policy, and law as they relate both to modification of humans and other organisms. We have a wonderful lineup of speakers that include a diverse panel of scientists, policy makers, and at least one patient.
You can get more info on the flyer above.
My colleague Mark Yarborough here at UC Davis has taken the lead on organizing this meeting, which is our Third Annual UC Davis Stem Cell Research Policy and Ethics Symposium.
The meeting is cosponsored by UCSC Center for Science and Justice, Center to Advance Science in Policy & Regulation, UC Berkeley School of Public Health, Center for Science, Technology, Medicine & Society, UC Berkeley, UCSF, and IGI.
Will it be recorded to view online later?
@Super, I am not sure yet about the recording, but will ask my co-organizers. Good suggestion/question. Paul
