What are the top stem cell videos on YouTube? They are not at all what I thought they would be, at least the top 20 as ranked by view count. Update for 2020: One of the top videos now is a provocative one of Joe Rogan, Mel Gibson, and a clinic operator. Can Google’s new anti-aging company, Calico, have you Googling at age 140? Don’t sell your burial plot just yet. Two emerging acronyms in the for-profit stem cell world that remain unknown to most academic stem cell scientists, but that are generating the most buzz are: SVF and CAL. These are two fat acronyms. What? These acronyms relate to adipose (fat) stem cell-based procedures. SVF stands for “stromal vascular fraction”. SVF is, for lack of a better word, a fat extract.
